Welcome to the online home of Dave Sessions of Fort Worth, Texas, USA. I’m a marketing director and freelance sportswriter.

I covered the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars beats for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in the middle aughts. These days you can find my work in DFWOT or on MLB.com. Way back in the day, I also worked for the Austin American-Statesman and The Daily Texan.

I dallied with a career in politics for a few years between leaving newspapers and going to work for Ferris, which was founded by my great uncle. I recently worked on a 2012 presidential primary campaign as an oppo researcher, rapid responder and … what was the third one again? I did a stint before that as a Congresswoman’s press secretary/speechwriter and broke into politics in the communications shop at John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign’s headquarters.

I love playing guitar and going to baseball games. One time I ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. Actually, I did it twice.

I am not The Most Interesting Man in the World but I hope I’m in the 90th percentile. I don’t always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Texas craft beer or something that tastes great and is less filling.
